Harriet Walker Psychology

Dr Harriet Walker

DPsych, MSc, BA

I am a qualified Counselling Psychologist with experience working with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. These include challenges such as anxiety, low self-esteem, and obsessive compulsive disorder, as well as specialist experience in phobias, eating difficulties, and body dysmorphic disorder. I also work with adolescents, supporting them with the unique difficulties they may face. I am particularly passionate about supporting young people navigate neurodiversity and how this can impact mental health.

My priority is to provide a warm and supportive space where you feel comfortable to talk openly about your experiences and concerns. I place great value on the therapeutic relationship, as I believe this is central to making sense of your difficulties and working towards meaningful change. I work collaboratively, beginning with developing a shared understanding of your difficulties before exploring how best to approach them. My practice is integrative, drawing on a range of psychological models, primarily cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic approaches, to tailor the work to your individual needs.
